There are many strategically planted fruit trees, such as almendro de lapa, ojoche, cecropias, mandarin lemon, star fruit, soursop, four different types of bananas, plantains, coconuts, mangoes, papayas, avocados, and more, which attract different animals’ day and night.

The constant soft noise of the river cascade elaborates with the sounds of singing birds and howler monkeys in the morning, transforming into the magical night sounds of frogs and creatures active at night with the light of fireflies and click beetles’ insects.

At night the current owners offer a night hike, and during the day there is a riverside massage and yoga practices, to name a few activities this land can offer. This place was designed by nature lovers and biologists to preserve the wildlife of Costa Rica and be as close to it as possible while living there. It is all about nature.

The Habana River Lodge has two individual apartments equipped with a full rustic-style bathroom with a cool-style shower, a comfy bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a nature lover's dream kitchen settled on the balcony overlooking the private river and trails from the top. The tap water is very good quality, safe to drink. The rain and could water flows to reserves from the mountain top with a 15year cycle, naturally filtrated through the underground springs and provided by the Aqueduct Asada La Fortuna to the rest of the surrounded area. There is no place to find this quality of water around these days. The neighbour besides the property has a spring and is not allowed to build on it making the property more private without an immediate neighbour.

The owner is maintaining the riverside trails, which account for more than 70 meters in addition to the property plan. The property has a natural round shape and a flat landscape with around 5 meters of cliff overlooking the river, creating an ideal possibility to make a deck or a balcony here and open fields of the finca, creating beautiful sunset moments, coziness, and privacy.

It is hard to find a place in the heart of touristic area which to have such peace and tranquility at the same time. This place quickly became busy as the lodge started to operate, with the tourists’ curiosity about magnetic wildlife becoming a top activity on the property.

To add to the possibility, there is already a built one-bedroom apartment for the owners who attached a grand high-top salon securely constructed with a very spacious kitchen where future owners can make their own design. The owner’s house has an additional area to grow and build more rooms adopting to the family size.

There is a huge space to build a pool and jacuzzies. It isvery important to add that the property counts all services with water, electricity, and internet.

Gardens and landscaping are fully completed with endemic pant such as ginger, heliconias, and

bijaguas, attracting different species of hummingbirds and butterflies to the property to maintain

its natural biodiversity within. Gardens contain special features such as frog ponds to preserve and reproduce frogs such as red-eyed leaf frogs, glass frogs, brilliant forest frogs, toads, and many more unique and rare species.
